A Celebration of Design, Wellness and Lifestyle
Technogym, the global leader in fitness, wellness and sport, has partnered with renowned luxury publisher Assouline to launch The Art of Wellness, a stunning coffee table book celebrating Technogym’s design philosophy and brand vision since its founding in 1983. More than a retrospective, the book reveals how Technogym helped transform fitness from a purely functional activity into an emotional and lifestyle driven experience. Today, its products, guided by science and digital innovation, are seen not only as training tools but also as true design objects.
From Bodybuilding to a Culture of Wellness
Over 30 years ago, when bodybuilding stereotypes dominated the industry, Technogym introduced a fresh vision inspired by Italian culture and the ancient Roman maxim “mens sana in corpore sano” (a healthy mind in a healthy body). While most equated fitness with looking good, Technogym placed feeling good at the heart of wellness.

Nerio Alessandri’s Vision and Global Growth
Founded at 22 by Nerio Alessandri in his garage, Technogym has since grown from a start up to the world’s leading wellness brand. Today, more than 70 million people train with Technogym products daily in top fitness clubs, luxury hotels, medical centers and private homes worldwide. The book takes readers on a journey through the brand’s history, capturing its essence, its people and its continuous drive for innovation.
Behind the Scenes of a Global Icon
With a compelling foreword by journalist Joel Stein, the book offers a rare look behind the scenes, showing how Technogym became an international symbol of excellence in fitness and wellness.
Launch Event During Zurich Design Weeks
The launch of The Art of Wellness took place on September 10 at the Technogym Boutique Zurich during Zurich Design Weeks, underscoring the brand’s position at the intersection of design, innovation and wellness.

A Celebration of Design, Technology and Lifestyle
“The Art of Wellness is more than a book about Technogym. It is a celebration of design, technology and lifestyle, inspiring people everywhere to live healthier every day,” says Nicolas Valenti, Sales Manager Home & Residential at Technogym.
Exclusive Artistic Collaboration with Yael Anders
The event also introduced a special collaboration with Zurich based artist Yael Anders, who created an exclusive bookmark inspired by the book’s theme. “Art and creativity are essential for wellbeing because they inspire, calm and energize us, just like movement does. The bookmark captures the balance and flow of the human body in motion, reminding us that creativity, movement and wellness are inseparable in daily life,” explains Anders.
Wellness as a Holistic Experience
Guest speaker Iria Degen, Zurich interior designer, added: “Wellness is holistic. It is not only about movement but also about the spaces where we live. Our environment directly influences our mood, our energy and our thinking. Technogym equipment is not only functional but also sculptural, design objects in their own right.”

Availability at Technogym Boutique Zurich
The Art of Wellness, published by Assouline, is available exclusively at the Technogym Boutique Zurich, Pelikanstrasse 5. Each purchase includes the limited edition bookmark by Yael Anders while supplies last.
